Pedestal Drums

These awesome drums are made from slats of wood using the native yellow pine found in Mexico. Beautiful clean cow hide stretched over each end. The drums are then laced with rawhide. The Tarahumara are very skilled craftsmen and are very proud of their work. These drums are not only beautiful and unique they will also bring the rich Indian heritage of the Tarahumara into your home.

This is a beautiful slat side Indian drum was made by hand by the Tarahumara Indians. It measures 12" wide by 18" tall and comes from deep in the Sierra Madre. It was made with hand hewn slats of wood using the native yellow pine of northern Mexico. This is a beautiful drum has clean cow hide stretched over each end and laced with matching rawhide. The bark has been removed from the wood slats to create a decorative drum that is absolutely beautiful and full of rustic charm.
